The perfect brand expression

I hope you enjoy the photo above as a Sunday morning chuckle!

As some may know, I worked for years in the space of brand and love this and many other areas of marketing, though yes, mostly on Brand (who you are) rather than Branding (how you show the world who you are). One of my favourite writers on this is Nick Parker, who has written on the topic of the “Tone of Voice” of brands for a long time, even before his brilliant and current “Tone Knob” substack.

Anyway, earlier this week I was walking to a meeting in Soho and saw this brilliant piece of branding stuck in traffic at a junction. I imagine the driver is very much used to being photographed, so when I literally laughed out loud at the car as I got my phone out to take a picture, he posed with immaculate timing for me on his “throne”.

A picture says a thousand words and the main picture on this car wrap indeed does so, but take time to look beyond it to the other ways in which they show their deeply irreverent tone of voice, which follows through (often quite subtly) on their site leakbusters.net
