To write (a book) or not to write

by | Oct 18, 2022 | Open Leadership

Seven Leadership Archetypes.

As I sit comfortably in a liminal space of musing on what to let go of and what to add to what I focus on, am once again allowing myself to turn towards the question.

Is it time to write a book now?

I’ve thought about it (and been encouraged to do so!) for quite a number of years, even taking time to interview leaders and start framing one up in summer 2018 (on the topic of Seven Leadership Archetypes as per the drawing above) before then pausing to launch into another project (on Beautiful Leadership with Alan Moore, one which I see contributed to him now launching leadership workshops. Lovely to see.)

Since daily posting began for me almost exactly five years ago I have published well over 800,000 words on this site, so an order of multitude more words than any book on leadership, business.

I do love short form writing and also do still feel the urge to write a book that both captures one big idea and then writes stories around it with applicable and authentic insights.

I shall continue to muse.

Meanwhile, if, dear reader, you have found that any particular idea I’ve shared over the years resonates strongly for you such that you’d love to read a book around the idea, please do contact me and share your thoughts.
