What is the last thing you did to make someone happy?

What is the last thing you did to make someone else happy?

This is one of the best job ads I have ever seen. Period.

Last weekend I went out to a restaurant for the first time in over four months, to my favourite restaurant in London, HomeSW15

I was talking to one of our group after our meal about what it is that makes the place so special.

The food is imaginative and high quality and at the same time, as the name suggests, evocative of a great home meal. The cocktails are amazing, plus the wine terrific. In addition to this, the authenticity of the diverse front of house team shines through in their wonderful service.

In summary, we agreed that what that all means is that they put LOVE into everything they do. (So reminds me of one of my favourite daily posts here: “Ikigai and Bacon Rolls“, where I noted: “The secret ingredient in the bacon rolls …. is LOVE”.)

I then saw this wondrous job ad they posted on Instagram. It says so much about Craig and the team at Home. I’ve also noticed that their staff stay with them for a long time, plus Craig just did something most owners and founders find a real challenge, he let go of control of the front of the house so that he could look at “What’s Next”, handing it over to the highly talented Odaine.

So, if you are looking for a great place to work, to grow, to learn all about service that makes someone else happy, here is a chance for you.

As for me, hmm. Recently I wrote a piece called: “I’m looking for clients where I can have more skin in the game“, and one way I am thinking about this is to find businesses I believe in that are at an early stage on their growth journey, then align with them and support them along the way.

Craig, let’s talk about that 😉
