“Knowledge Speaks, Wisdom Listens”

As Chip Conley says: “Knowledge Speaks, Wisdom Listens”. Often the wisest in a room speaks the least. Something to observe.
One of my thoughts around wisdom and elders is: “not all old people are wise and not all wise people are old”. My friend Chip turns 60 this year. He is one of the wisest people I know, yet also I swear that through the passion and curiosity he has for life and people, he is getting younger every year. Some magical alchemy there, that curiosity and learning can keep us young and even, at some level, “de-age” us.
Here on Sunday morning, I am eagerly awaiting the latest WhatComesNext.Live show this coming Tuesday, 14th July at 5 pm UK time, when I will have the opportunity to be in conversation with Chip.
One more thought around wisdom I like to use is that: “wisdom is something concise that, once you hear it, you feel you always knew it”.
