Hugging meditation

So, we are all “on pause” together across the world, sharing this same unique lifetime experience, as literally billions are staying at home to save lives. Within that, we are all experiencing this differently.

As noted in an earlier post, “Be Kind“, to others and to yourself, which starts with recognising that all of us face challenges from the minor to the truly major.

Some have young children at home with both parents trying to (and often being pressured to by their employers) work full time. I cannot imagine how they bend time and energy to make that work.

Some are in toxic and abusive relationships and confined to the same space for weeks on end so far, with no set end in sight in many countries. I feel for them and hope all governments continue to prioritise front line support.

As for me, I am well and I recognise my privilege in this. One thing though, and it is truly minor, is that I am finding it challenging to be solo for so long without something as simple as a hug, physical human contact.

So, to the rescue this weekend the inspired genius of my amazing friend Kay Scorah, who has created the idea of a Hugging Meditation.

I see hugs being in limited supply for some time, but Kay, coming to hug ya as soon as we are allowed!
