Doing nothing is not an option

by | Nov 23, 2022 | Open Leadership, Response-ability, Self-Knowledge

Over the last week or two, I have been quietly musing on whether or not to keep posting daily, including whether or not to make a radical change as in:

“Shall I continue with daily posting? Post less often but in more depth? Stop entirely? Something else?”

Well, yesterday a dear friend gave me some of their wisdom. One thing that leapt out for me, after they discussed various options, was:

Doing nothing is an option I am sure you are unable to pursue and needs no further comment

This landed to me as wisdom, as in my own definition of wisdom (see this earlier blog) being:

“Wisdom is something concise, that, when you hear it, you feel you always knew it”.

I thank my friend for their wisdom. Doing nothing is not who I am, so continue I shall.

I shall sit down at the keyboard each day and wait for something to pour forth. It always does when I have the structure and discipline to choose to write. Don’t worry though, unlike dear Ernest, I shall not bleed 😉
