The power of encouragement

by | Aug 4, 2022 | Open Leadership, Response-ability, Self-Knowledge

encouragement manifesto

Recently, I was introduced to the site of Feast and Fables, and more specifically their Encouragement Manifesto, when they commended me on modelling point 6 by being consistent with my daily posts.

This introduction was via Twitter through Will Johnson, who I met last winter on a group walk with Ian Sanders (past guest on #WhatComesNextLive here), who I first met when he interviewed Jerry Colonna, who I, like Ian, had met by cold emailing him to have a conversation. I note all of those connections here as I love to “Connect the Dots” and so to identify and celebrate all those who created new connections for me and others, so that, to me, fits under points 4, 5 and 8 of the manifesto. Do you remember to connect the dots and to thank and celebrate others for doing the connecting?

Anyway, I have written around the topic of the power of acknowledgement to others, so I love this manifesto. To me it is all about living ABUNDANTLY, by being kind, sharing, giving, seeking to contribute, to help others in many ways.

I applaud Feast and Fables for this lovely manifesto and I will seek to model it in all ways and at all times.

Now having written this in the early summer morning, I will now continue my recovery from the impacts of chemotherapy and go for my daily walk and listen to one of the backlog of inspiring books I have on Audible. I will be consistent with both of these things every day as I move into the post-cancer health journey.
