This is the first winter in the UK since I moved here in 2017 that I haven’t travelled to Cayman and other warmer climes at least a few times over the winter to see clients, family and friends. I’m doing well though, and always recognising my privilege and good fortune in many ways.
What I do turn to, though, when things can feel tough in winter, is beauty. Beauty in our surroundings, in music, art, literature. This phrase stopped me in my tracks when I saw it the other day, from the great French novelist Camus.
Always remember, within you is an invincible summer.
