I already love my study in the new house, I find I can focus well in this space. That said, I know I can take it to another level, and this will be served well by my new “addiction”, of buying used books published by the Folio Society, producers of the highest quality hardback editions of classic books. The pile of books in the picture of the first batch I bought may look small, but photos can be deceiving, as these six wonderful books may have only cost me a total of £126.94, but they weigh in at a total of 5.45kg (or exactly 12lbs for those still using the old “weigh” of doing things). Behind the books are some newly framed prints, so the next step is to find some (strong) bookshelves, and then mount them and the prints on the study walls.
Adding books and pictures is what it will take to bring my space from “good to great to elite”.
An idea for reflection for you. Consider what in your life, work, and business you have already moved from good to great. Now, what will you need to focus on, and where to invest, to take it from great to elite?
