Giving and receiving. No, this is not about “the season”, it is way too early (in my mind) to think about that, maybe from December 1st I’ll allow my mind to turn in that direction, but not yet 😉
Today, then, a simple thought, that by giving we receive.
This week I was asked by a friend to take a call with someone who had asked them for some help, and they thought I could help too. I will always honour such requests and so I took the call. I listened, reflected to them what they had said, then shared one or two of my own stories, each chosen to help anchor what they had said and the insights I drew from that. At the end of the call, they were really thankful for my time. I logged off the call, then sat for a few moments and reflected for myself.
My key feeling from those moments of reflection was a simple one, of how much I receive when I give.
