Life goes through different seasons. As an “empty nester”, I choose to avoid taking trips in the middle of summer so as to avoid the crowds.
From a work front, the “back to school” energy often means events, meetings and workshops happening after the summer in September and October as people get back into gear and focus on “what comes next” after their own summer break.
For me this has meant a September (and October) that is both slower and also quite full of activity in different ways.
I began September with the Craigberoch Decelerator on the Isle of Bute. Combining that trip with visits to family in Scotland meant that was the first week of September. After a week back at home, I am now up in Scotland once again taking my youngest around visiting the family.
Two days after we get back to London, I’ll then be off to France for a first vacation of the year for about ten days, then, lo and behold, we are into October. September, therefore is both slow and full for me.
Oh, and have just booked my next Cayman trip, will be there the week of October 16th, always happy to meet up with people when I’m back home!
