The older I get the more I feel able to take time to be in the moment, rather than rush through life from one thing to the next in a drive to achieve.
Yesterday I had the joy and privilege of being in the moment quite a number of times.
First, I met the one-year-old first member of the next generation of our extended family (I joked that I’ve always been a great uncle, now I’m a great-uncle!).
After that I wandered the went to a truly wonderful cafe and blissful coffee.
Later was cocktails with a dear friend, then on to a lovely diner.
Finally this amazing view.
I could have walked along past this. Instead I stopped to take it in, to be in the moment.
