This weekend the weather is hot in London. They’ve even put out weather warnings telling us it is hot and that there may be afternoon thunderstorms, or, as we would call it in Cayman, “Sunday”!
That said, it is hot, but it is not HOT. Temperatures will approach 30c (86f) but there is a cooling breeze and it will cool off at night. Lovely, in fact.
When it is HOT in the UK, like we tend to get for a while each summer, it gets way hotter than this and then doesn’t cool at night, times when I wish for air conditioning!
Anyway, the warmer weather reminded me of the classic by Arrow, “Feeling Hot Hot Hot!”, then found the video below. I totally love it, as it demonstrates the difference between the UK and the Caribbean. Yes, people do tend to feel brighter, happier, and friendlier when the weather is hot, but it also shows how, for example, people don’t talk to strangers, plus are thought to be crazy if they talk to people on public transport at any time.
I’m that person who does talk to people all the time whether the weather is grey or sunny. I’ll bring that Caymanian warmth to you, whatever the weather!
Meanwhile, if you are in the UK, enjoy feeling hot, hot, hot!
As for me, I’m off out on my bike. Today will be a “two water bottle” ride!
