If all the barriers were gone, what would you do next?
My friend Jeff Raker (see his guest appearance on WhatComesNextLive here) reminded me that I asked him this question at an inflection point for him.
That reminder came in the form of him sending me a copy of the foreword to his second book, where he shared two questions, one of which was the one I asked. He then noted in his foreword:
It is questions that have moved my life along. Questions have created stepping stones for me. Probably for you too.
Indeed
Jeff’s first book is called “Now that’s a great question!”, and on the Amazon listing I’ve linked to, it finishes off the summary by saying:
Rather than getting pulled into the emotional vortex of someone else’s anger or taking words and actions personally, asking a great question will illuminate the way forward to a better relationship through better communication. This is a difference maker for anyone who leads people, including yourself. What question do you need to ask today?
I love that my question to Jeff “was a difference maker, a nudge onto the next step of the pathway” for him
Questions are powerful. What question do you need to ask today?
