Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not font of rules. And tey have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.
Thank you to Toby Trevarthan for reminding me of these words the other day. On October 5, 2011, Steve Jobs died. On October 6, 2011, Hugh McLeod of Gaping Void produced this, then I bought several limited edition prints, one of which has sat by my desk ever since, the other two similarly for two clients and friends.
These words come from an Apple ad in 1997. The moment I saw this it felt like a personal manifesto, a daily reminder to be more, to do more, to make an impact.
I’m crazy enough to think I can change the world, are you?
