After a pause of sixty days, I’m back.
When I took a pause in daily posting back on March 19th, it was simply an instinct to do just that, to pause.
After 1875 posts and over 900,000 words written here since I started daily posting back in October 2017, I’d somehow lost some of my mojo, the ease of sitting at my computer and allowing ideas and words to flow daily.
I also knew on March 19th that the next month or two would be full with several house moves as well as multiple business trips, so a pause felt doubly the right thing to do at that moment.
Now, though, all the moves are complete and the urge to begin writing again has started once more to bubble up in me through various conversations in the last couple of weeks. I even started to add to my “Writing Ideas” Evernote for the first time in a long time, another sign it is time to write.
Finally, it has been lovely to hear from quite a number of people checking in on me as they had not seen my posts in some time. Whilst I have some readers who often message or email me with their own thoughts sparked by something I posted, the silent majority quietly read my posts from time to time but do notice when they stop, so lovely to hear from both groups.
So, here I am, back again. am reminded by the likes of ChatGPT that there is much writing out there that is, well, bland and repetitive. I can’t promise not to be repetitive, but I will always look for new angles, new stories to anchor ideas that I share with you.
