As the pandemic began, I went from a few conversations each day with clients and others to at least ten, offering up my time to contacts and several networks to support leaders through the crisis management needed. Soon after that, one evening I sat down after one such day and felt appreciation for all the amazing conversations I get to have in doing what I do. It then occurred to me: “what if others could see and hear the conversations that I am privileged enough to have”.
This lead me to launch “What Comes Next Live” in June 2020, a weekly podcast, simply a thirty-minute conversation with a leader talking about whatever is on their mind around the theme “what comes next”. With only a few breaks, over two and a half years 105 episodes have been recorded, finishing up at the end of 2022.
Over all of that time, there has been an easy flow of guests (and my thanks to them all!), each sharing their wisdom with me and then the wider audience.
The last guest of 2022 was Tessa Murray of Tortoise Media, who has now gone on a sabbatical in 2023.
After that recording, I felt to take a break from weekly podcasting too. As we move through February, the podcast remains “on pause”, though I love to have archived material kept freely available, so all episodes are still right up there on the site, along with over 1800 daily posts, plus the short podcast series of inspiring women leaders, Elevating Leaders. I believe that so much of this content remains evergreen, so feel free to dip into it as you wish!
What comes next for the podcast? I await inspiration.
