I’m back from ten days of “walkabout” (see blog from 24th December here). I did indeed take a walk every day, as well as taking a consciously quiet time over the holiday season. No parties, simply time spent alone or with some of those closest to me, either individually or in tiny gatherings.
I enter 2023 with a simple (and perhaps blindingly obvious) Context:
Do what matters
To me, at this time, what matters is:
- To consciously spend time with people that matter to me, in person wherever possible
- To work only with people and businesses who have a clear intention, a clear purpose that is about more than just commercial returns.
- To follow the maxim: “only do what only you can do“, which will mean being rigorous in turning down or delegating out or outsourcing anything else.
Linking all of those together, I am travelling soon and am keen to meet people in:
- Edinburgh January 16th and 17th
- Cayman February 6th to 10th
I find the first month or so of the year a particularly fertile time for considering the impact we wish to have in the world for the year.
If you would like to meet in person in either location (or in London at any other time), contact me and let’s lock a time in our diaries.
