I’ve decided to stop being self-aware, what I do is none of my business
Saw this funny quote recently, though it rings true when you see those with zero self-awareness in action in the world!
On a more serious note, to practice #OpenLeadership it is essential to be Open and Humble, to be curious and empathetic and understanding of those you lead.
In other words, having awareness and understanding of others and of your environment is essential for leaders.
To do this, though, one must start with self-awareness, which can be a considerable investment in self in many ways.
Self-awareness is a journey, not a destination, you can always be learning more about yourself.
The more self-aware you become, though, the more you can then tune in to others and so be a better leader.
So, what you do IS your business, and the more aware you are of what you do and why you do it, the better you can then lead others.
