Leaders should be curious, not judgmental.
I believe in, nay preach, that the Leadership we need for our times and the future is #OpenLeadership (see core post here).
Open leaders are both Brave and Hungry and also Open and Humble.
Open and Humble leaders are also deeply curious. For me, it goes beyond that, life for me is about People, Ideas, and Connecting the Dots. This is what inspires and energies me, and, in living this way, I aspire to make a difference for others.
One word that sits strongly with the attributes of Open and Humble is “Curious”.
One of the smash hits of TV in recent years has been the show Ted Lasso, which is all about how someone curious, open, kind (as well as Brave and Hungry) can successful lead, achieving one of my definitions of leadership, “A leader is someone others choose to follow”.
