“There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen”
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin
As I write this there is all-out ground war in Europe for the first time in many decades.
The Lenin quote above is so real to me at this moment.
For those not old enough to grow up during the cold war (that ended in 1989), you will not know what it feels like to wake up and live through every day with a fear that the world could end through nuclear war. Over 32 years later that threat is real once again.
I won’t opine on what could or will happen, simply posting today thinking of the people of Ukraine and signing off from daily posting for at least a few days, as this is not the time.
