Eleven days into a seventeen day visit home to Cayman and yesterday took a beach walk on Seven Mile Beach for the first time. My son and I simply walked, slowly for an hour or so (and no, those amazing thunderclouds missed us!).
I’m the type of person who typically has a mind that never stops, but right now I feel my mind has become much quieter.
I sense that my mind was going and going, fast and intensely, for most of the last eighteen months, and that part of this was for a simple reason, to stop me slowing down to feel the distance (due to Covid) between me and seeing my sons.
Having now have been in Cayman for some time, being around my three boys has had the effect of my subconscious allowing me to slow down my mind.
I’m grateful for that sense of a quiet mind.
Now for six more days full of enriching meetings, then back to London recharged and with my cup filled.
