In November 2020, inspired by Derek Sivers, I set up a “Now” page on my site, then wrote about the idea in: “Tell people what you are focussed on now“. The idea is simple:
Most websites have a link that says “about”. It goes to a page that tells you something about the background of this person or business. For short, people just call it an “about page”.
Most websites have a link that says “contact”. It goes to a page that tells you how to contact this person or business. For short, people just call it a “contact page”.
So a website with a link that says “now” goes to a page that tells you what this person is focused on at this point in their life. For short, we call it a “now page”.

This week I launched the “Elevating Leaders” microsite, so felt to update my own “Now” page, highlighting the story behind this idea (and I had previously updated my Now page back in June this year, where I noted that this project was one I was working on for September launch (hey, we launched early).
My latest update highlights three things:
- A pending website copy refresh, around the world “elite”
- The launch of Elevating Leaders
- How the idea of #OpenLeadership is becoming more and more resonant for people as we see people lead well (and the opposite) in how they are responding to the changing world of work in our Covid-endemic environment
I’d love to learn what you are focussed on “Now” through your own page.
