My thanks today for this simple thought and graphical illustration from David Perell.
In my writing, I often curate (and provide links) to things I have read, watched, listened to. I write to share what I learn, and at the same time, I have another reason, as I noted in: “Write to discover your thoughts“. I do look to “collect the dots” by consuming ideas voraciously and eclectically, then to see where I can connect those dots, sometimes in straightforward and linear ways, other times seeing things from a different angle or perspective, as I wrote about recently in: “Originality from seeing things through your unique prism“.
This week I received a lovely piece of feedback which speaks to sharing learning, writing to develop thoughts, and also that I seek to inspire readers to follow their own path to first collect, then connect dots:
Thank you Tom McCallum for your wisdom, insight, impact and open sharing. You often have me researching further into your quotes and thoughts
What I loved most was “you often have me researching further”
Enjoy collecting and connecting your own dots!
