I’m not someone writing about all the things any of us “coulda, woulda, shoulda” done in the lockdown. No, I’m simply asking you to consider: “what have I learned so far?” about yourself.
Three things I’ve learned:
- I thrive through somehow having clarity in times of great uncertainty
- Jigsaws are a wonderful way for me to decompress
- I didn’t handle being solo as well as I thought I did
This last one was definitely an eye-opener. I knew it felt strange to be out of physical contact with everyone for week after week. However, at some point I somehow “settled in” to this reality and genuinely feel ok about it for however long it goes on. It was only when I could view myself in the rear mirror that I could see I hadn’t handled it all that well in the early weeks.
Once I started feeling ok about it I could look back and acknowledge that I had not been feeling ok for the first few weeks. I knew my experience, what I was feeling, had changed. Hindsight is 20:20, eh?
So, most of us are four or more weeks into lockdown and I can imagine you have adjusted and are feeling different than at the start.
What, then, have you learned so far?
